-Prologue-
I wish I could tell ye how thy feel.

But ‘tis shalt happen.

The way ye look,
How it could drive thee to insanity.

Every time I look at ye
Yer eyes speak to thee

Oh and how I love yer smile it enchants my heart!
It could make even the most of savages beasts’ fall in love.

But I know we shall never be, 
For we are like the crossroads rune.

Yes we cross paths and that is when we shall see,
If we were ever meant to be--Om dark angel will it ever be?

The angel sings to me in my sleep,
His voice is that of a God,
When I open my eyes his stare back with enchantment,

He has the eyes and hair of onyx,
His beauty intoxicates me,
I am not to touch though my mind tells me otherwise,

He is more than an angel,
He is life and death in one,
His lips could cause the death of me and his touch could cause the life of me.

I do not care if I die,
For I know I’d feel him…
I reach out and touch his face.

As our lips touch my heart flutters,
His wings surround us, 
As my body falls limp.

-Epilogue-

I look at my lifeless body,
My dark angel embraces my new form,

His onyx eyes show a glimmer of light,
Making my eyes reflect in his.

My wings stretch out,
They are as black as my angels’.

His wings embrace me,
And our tears fall freely.

Our lips meet again,
It makes my heart swell,

Now, finally, our paths have crossed,
Yes my dark angel and I were meant to be!

Footnote: Ahh Love, it is a truthfully wonderful thing. The fleeting moments before lips touch and roaming hands explore territorites known yet unknown. This is my first love poem, it has evolved over the years starting out as a letter, then into verses. :-)
